A New Species of Rhagoletis (Diptera: Tephritidae) from Switzerland, with Discussion of its Relationships within the Genus

Rhagoletis merzi sp. n., is described and illustrated based on specimens swept reared from Juniperus sabina L. in Switzerland. Th e group includes both (R. undescribed forms) fl avigenualis merzi). more morphological characters (wing pattern, occiput, mesonotum legs coloration, shape male surstyli) molecular than avigenualis.
